TIM Logistics is equipped with customs clearance houses, warehouses and truck fleets to provide oversea warehousing, cross border transportation, freight forwarding and supply chain management services to all customers in Tanzania and Mozambique.
TIM logistics roots in Africa and aims to establish a logistic ecosystem between China and African countries that offers integrated logistic service, which contains sea transportation, ports handling, customs transfer (clearance) and inland transportation.
We provide vessel booking service for import and export goods by cooperating with reliable ship owners such as COSCO, MSK, SAF, CMA, PIL, MSC, EMC and etc. We also invest customs clearance houses, truck fleets and warehouses in Tanzania, Mozambique and Zambia; provide comprehensive local and international logistic services for clients in South Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Uganda and other countries together with our sister logistic companies.
In 2019, TIM Group researches and develops our unique TMS intelligent logistic & transportation platform to improve the matching degree between cargo and truck fleets and optimize transportation arrangement, therefore to greatly promote the transportation efficiency in the main lines of South Africa, Tanzania, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zimbabwe, Malawi, etc..

TIM Logistics strives to establish our own customs clearance teams in southeast Africa and provide real, timely and transparent information transmission. We have set up our own customs clearance houses in Tanzania, Mozambique and Zambia. In the Tanzanian customs clearance house we have nearly 200 Chinese and local staff and in Mozambique customs clearance house we have over 50 Chinese and local staff to provide services as below:

TIM Logistics has been working on to build our own truck fleets for land transportation since we entered into African market in 2014. We have our own truck fleet first in Tanzania and now it owns 31 trailers and 3 skeletal-type trailers equipped with brand new HOWO 371 tractors to carry container and break bulk; 16 low-beds; modular trailers with axis (3+4+5), all equipped with tractors of SHACMAN 420 and SHACMAN 440 to carry heavy equipment, such as construction machines and transformers. We can also provide the parallel transportation service for transformers. Our truck fleet in Tanzania now has 60 qualified and experienced drivers to provide international main lines transportation service among Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Malawi, etc., and domestic transportation inside Tanzania. Among our key clients, there are China Railway Seventh Group Co. Ltd, China Railway Fifteenth Group Co. Ltd, China Railway Major Bridges Engineering Group Co. Ltd (MBEC), China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd. The truck fleet in Mozambique has 24 sets of tractors and trailers for container and break bulk transportation. Our scope of service covers domestic transportation for whole Mozambique and international main lines transportation among inland countries like Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Our clients are mainly the large-scale state-owned enterprises, and we serve for their EPC projects. And we also have international trade clients. Another 8 new sets of tractors and trailers will join the truck fleet by the end of 2019, and we will have 32 trailers in total in operation.
Our Zambia truck fleet now has 29 tractors and trailers. Our scope of service covers domestic transportation for whole Zambia and international main lines transportation among inland and coastal countries like the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mozambique and South Africa. Our business here mainly focuses on the logistics of contract transportation for companies like Sinoma Cement and EPC projects of state-owned enterprises.
We provide comprehensive one-stop storage services including unboxing, reloading, storage and supervision. Our own invested and operated normal-bonded storage with the area of around 12,000 square meters in Mozambique is only five kilometers away from Beira port of Mozambique and is capable of providing service like normal warehousing, unboxing and allocation for import and reloading for export. The 8,000 square meters of warehouse in Tanzania (under construction) would offer bonded warehousing, supervision and other various kinds of services to support supply chain and finance business. Another 80,000 square meters of warehouse in Zambia (under construction) would dedicate to offer diverse storage services containing bonded warehousing and oversea warehouses.
